Hello Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my site. Golden Chinchillas is ran by my mother, Rebecca Reuth (as my associate) and myself, Ashleigh Gale. I started breeding chinchillas almost 12 years ago, about 5 years after this my mothers love for chinchillas grew stronger, and she also decided to start breeding.

I'm very glad to have my mother involved with the chinchillas, this way we are able to provide care for more chinchillas, and someone is always around to make sure that all the chinchillas are healthy and active.

I started out like many breeder, with pet quality chinchillas. I first bought a male white mosaic named "Calvin Hobbes" from a guy in Denver, Colorado and soon after I purchased a beige female named "Ruby" from a breeder located in Westminster and that is how my chinchilla story all began.

When I discovered show quality chinchillas, I became very interested in them and started breeding for better quality chinchillas, standards and mutations. Currently I'm a member of the E.C.B.C. (Empress Chinchilla Breeders Cooperative In.), my associate Rebecca is also a member. I plan to join the M.C.B.A. someday, but for now Colorado does not have a M.C.B.A. branch.

My herd lines consists of animals from: Roger Clark, Mark and Dick Miller, Jim Burrent, Jim Ritterspach, The Ryersons, Raph Shoots, Bob Merrit, Bowen Chinchillas, Furball Ranch, DME Exotics, Maynard Beitz, Joe Brown, Bill Fallis, Max Otten, as well as some animals from my own line. And produce a variety of colors, from Standard, Beige, Mosaics, Pink Whites, Ebony & Ebony Crosses, Tans & Tan Crosses, Violet & Violet Crosses, and Sapphire & Sapphire Crosses.

While breeding, I always take the time to consider the quality and many aspects of every chinchilla and strive to produce high quality chinchillas that are suitable for breeding/showing and pets.
